For months, years even if I am honest, I have recorded my thoughts, ideas, observations and understandings. Sometimes onto loose pieces of paper, or as notes on my now broken phones. mostly they are just discussed with friends and loved ones.
Trying to concise down the location of these, and also to share some of these revelations and notions, I've decided to take the plunge and start blogging.
So welcome!
Passionate about the well being of the planet and all its inhabitants, I am continuously thinking of new ways to help make a difference. A belief system that I've held for a long time is that each of us can make a difference if we put ourselves to the task. I've been an active campaigner, fundraiser, youth outreach volunteer and advisor in many areas for many years now, and a phrase pitched to me time and time again is this;
"But I'm just one person, what difference would/could I make?"
Not so long ago whilst discussing this idea, a friend of a friend helped reinforce this. The answer he gave was,
"You aren't just one, WE are millions."I was stunned at the relevance of this statement. It is nothing short of a fact. WE are!
This blog will discuss everything from every day humour to heartfelt talks on trains, influencial people and regularly witnessed incredible gestures of kindness.
We will discuss consumerism, advertising, deforestation, corporations and politics. We will tackle social stigmas, race, gender, disability and discrimination.
Together, we will look at the path to a better future, whilst trying to understand and decode some of life's most complicated questions.
This is created to open up discussions that may bear relevance to the every day world we live in.
The more I sit and write, the more the relevance of why I am here creating this today becomes apparent. It is so very important that you have your voice heard, it is vital in fact that we come together as a community of people and start working together for a better world.
I hope that you'll enjoy what you read, if nothing I hope it helps, in some way either big or small.
Remember; it's not I, its WE and we're in it together.
